BWC takes our mission to take care of Ohio’s workforce seriously. That’s why, on Feb. 1, 2018, in conjunction with ActiveHealth® Management, we’re launching our new health and well-being program: Better You, Better Ohio!
In late January, we will launch a statewide awareness campaign to educate employers about the process for this new hassle-free, paperless program. Better You, Better Ohio! will bring your employees a wealth of health and well-being resources at no cost to them or you! BWC will offer $6 million in funding on a first-come, first-served basis to Ohio’s workforce whose employers do not have such a program.
Further enhanced with financial incentives, Better You, Better Ohio! provides your employees opportunities for:
- Biometric screenings;
- Health-risk assessments;
- Various wellness activities, including lifestyle coaching.
If you are an employer who meets the criteria listed below, I want to personally invite you to an exclusive Better You, Better Ohio! presentation for Richland County employers. In cooperation with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, we’re holding a free, 40-minute educational presentation at 8:00 am, Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 at the Richland County Chamber office.
Workforce eligibility criteria
Ohio Employers with 50 employees or less in the following industries:
- Agriculture
- Automotive repair and service
- Construction
- Firefighters
- Health Care
- Manufacturing
- Police and public safety
- Public employers
- Restaurant and food service
- Transportation and trucking
- Trash collection
- Wholesale and retail
