This collaborative series exclusively for women is being co-hosted by the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center at Ashland University. Each month we'll have a time of powerful networking, a motivational "TED-type" talk as well as a chance to learn more about your community. We look forward to having you join us!
Nyasha will discuss how vision boarding has changed her life and provide tips on why vision boarding is important. She will also provide steps on how to get started if you have never done one.
Meet our speaker:
Nyasha Oden, LSW is from Mansfield, Ohio. After high school she went on to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Wright State University. In May of 2019, Nyasha graduated from Case Western Reserve University with her Master of Science in Social Administration allowing her to become a Licensed Social Worker for the state of Ohio. She is currently working at the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC), a nonprofit where she runs programs involving youth and the elderly such as: R Rules, Open Tables, and North End Elder Program.
When she is not busy with her 9 to 5, she is speaking to groups and providing one on one consultation about The Power of Vision Boards. Nyasha got into vision boards in 2014. Once completing her own vision board, she began recruiting a young lady each year to do one with her and began holding them accountable throughout the year. In 2018, she began working with groups such as foster youth, homeless families, and women to help them see that no matter the current situation they can still have goals and dreams of a better future. Thus in 2020 she officially launched, The Power of Vision Boards with the motto, “It’s one thing to post about it, but it’s another to put action behind it.” Through doing vision boards, Nyasha helps people to not only unlock their goals, but express who they are using pictures, quotes, and affirmation words.
