Description

We know what you are thinking. What do syrup and salamanders have in common? Bring the family to campus this leap year, and it will all make sense. The College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Science faculty, staff, and extension educators are working with the campus to manage its 600+ acres of woodlands. There are many exciting areas to tour on campus, such as a new sugar bush (the place where trees are tapped for maple syrup) and a vemal pool that is home to salamanders! Come join us as we tour the sugar bush, take a break to eat pancakes with Ohio State's very own maple syrup, then visit a vemal pool to learn about the fascinating lives of salamanders.. What more could you want on a Saturday morning? Register by February 24 at woodlandstewards.osu.edu?. The cost is $10 per person (kids are free). For more information, please contact titchenell.4@osu.edu.
